Medication Reminders

Helping seniors stay on track with safe, timely, and consistent medication routines.

For many older adults, managing multiple prescriptions can quickly become confusing or overwhelming—especially when dealing with memory challenges or complex care needs. Our caregivers provide non-medical medication reminders and oversight to help clients follow their prescribed regimens and reduce the risk of missed doses, duplication, or accidental misuse.

Common Challenges with Medication Management

Seniors often take several medications daily, and mistakes can have serious consequences.

Forgetting to take medications or taking them at the wrong time

Trouble opening bottles or organizing pills

Taking duplicate doses or skipping doses

Lack of supervision or family support

Increased risk of interactions with over-the-counter medications

How Our Services Support Medication Routines at Home

While we don’t administer medications or manage dosages, our caregivers provide critical support through reminders, routine reinforcement, and communication with families.

On-Demand Care Services

On-Demand Care is ideal for occasional check-ins to ensure medications are being taken properly—especially after a change in routine or discharge from the hospital. Caregivers can also help pick up prescriptions or assist after new medications are introduced.

Targeted Care Services

Targeted Care works well for clients who need help taking medications at specific times of day. Caregivers can visit during key windows—such as mornings or evenings—to provide reminders, ensure pills are taken, and observe for any issues or changes. This structure supports better adherence without unnecessary hours of care.

Companion Care Services

Companion Care is best for clients who need oversight throughout the day, such as those with memory loss or more complex regimens. A consistent caregiver can provide regular reminders, observe for side effects, and communicate concerns to families and care teams.

Caregiver Training

Tandem Care caregivers are trained to follow client-specific medication reminder routines and to recognize when something may be off—such as missed doses, side effects, or confusion. While they do not administer medications, they are taught how to support consistent habits and escalate concerns appropriately. Our client portal keeps families updated with real-time visit notes and observations.
