Post Surgical Care
Support that helps you heal safely, comfortably, and confidently—at home.
The days and weeks following surgery are critical for recovery. But many clients are discharged with limited support, especially when they don’t meet the criteria for in-home nursing or rehab. We provide non-medical assistance during the recovery process—helping clients follow discharge instructions, avoid complications, and regain independence without unnecessary strain on family members.
Common Challenges After Surgery
Recovery can be more demanding than expected, especially for older adults.
Limited mobility and difficulty with personal care
Fatigue, pain, or dizziness that makes moving around unsafe
Forgetting or mismanaging medication schedules
Missed follow-up appointments due to transportation needs
Inability to prepare meals or manage the home
Overreliance on family members who may be unavailable or overwhelmed

How Our Services Support Post-Surgical Recovery
Our care model makes it easy to get just the right amount of help—whether for a few days, a few weeks, or longer. We support recovery by focusing on rest, routine, and reducing the risk of setbacks.
On-Demand Care Services
On-Demand Care is a great option for clients who aren’t sure how much help they’ll need after surgery. It allows families to put support in place just in case, without committing to ongoing care. Whether it’s help with bathing, mobility, light meals, or a ride to a follow-up appointment, our caregivers are available when needed—no minimums, no pressure.

Companion Care Services
Companion Care is best for clients recovering from major surgery or those with limited family support. A consistent caregiver provides full-day assistance with mobility, meals, household tasks, and emotional reassurance—helping to prevent falls, reduce isolation, and ease anxiety during healing.

Caregiver Training
Tandem Care caregivers are trained to assist with recovery-related needs such as safe mobility, comfort positioning, proper hydration, light exercise encouragement, and post-discharge routines. While we do not provide medical care, our caregivers know how to support safe healing and alert the care team to any concerning changes. Our care coordinators stay involved and available throughout the recovery process to ensure continuity and communication.
