Palliative Care
Comfort-focused support for clients with serious illness—at home, on their terms.
Palliative care focuses on quality of life. It’s designed for people living with serious or chronic illness who want relief from symptoms, support with daily routines, and space to live as comfortably and meaningfully as possible—regardless of whether they are receiving curative treatment. We provide non-medical palliative support that enhances comfort and eases the burden on families.
Who Palliative Care Is For
Palliative care can begin at any stage of illness—not just end-of-life.
Living with cancer, heart failure, Parkinson’s, or other advanced conditions
Experiencing fatigue, pain, mobility issues, or emotional distress
Seeking support while continuing curative or life-extending treatment
Not yet eligible for hospice or choosing not to enroll
Requiring more consistent help at home than clinical providers can offer

How Our Services Support Palliative Clients at Home
Every client’s experience with serious illness is different—and often unpredictable. Our flexible care options allow families to adjust support as needs change, whether help is needed occasionally, at specific times of day, or throughout the day.
On-Demand Care Services
On-Demand Care is ideal for palliative clients who are mostly independent but need occasional support—especially on difficult days. A caregiver can stop by to assist with bathing, light meals, medication reminders, or transportation to a treatment or doctor’s appointment. This option gives families peace of mind knowing help is available without committing to a full schedule.

Targeted Care Services
Targeted Care works well for clients who need reliable help at key moments of the day—such as getting up in the morning, preparing meals, managing hygiene, or winding down in the evening. These structured visits help ease the physical and emotional toll of illness while preserving energy and routine.

Companion Care Services
Companion Care is best for clients who need longer hours of support and a consistent caregiver by their side. A dedicated caregiver provides ongoing help with personal care, mobility, comfort measures, and household tasks—while offering emotional reassurance and companionship. This option also provides family caregivers with respite and the ability to focus on quality time rather than daily logistics.

Caregiver Training
Tandem Care caregivers are trained to support individuals with serious illness in a respectful, compassionate way. While we do not provide clinical care, our caregivers assist with comfort-focused tasks like repositioning, hygiene, and emotional support. Our care coordinators stay closely involved, adjusting the plan as needs evolve, and families receive real-time updates through our secure client portal.
